Discussion will include the recent global economic performance
and outlook; the slide of the US dollar in the FX market and what to
expect for the remainder of 2008. New challenges for importers and
exporters as the US dollar reaches historic lows against major
currencies will also be addressed. The latter topic is a must for
all CEOs and CFOs with exposure to world markets, from cross-border
procurement to selling internationally, structuring overseas joint
ventures, and funding foreign subsidiaries. FX management can mean
success or failure to an otherwise solid business plan.
Program highlights:
- Current trends in the world economy and how they affect U.S.
business
- Value of the U.S. dollar, a retrospective of where it has been
and where it might
be headed in 2009
- New challenges when negotiating international contracts
- Protecting cash flow and asset valuation from FX risk
