The seminar will cover the new tax landscape for exporting
companies following the repeal of the Extraterritorial Income
Exclusion. With several new pieces of legislation now in effect,
the tax environment has changed dramatically for companies with
significant levels of international sales.
Congress phased out the benefits of the Extraterritorial Income (ETI),
beginning in 2005. However, there are now other options available to
help minimize the impact of taxes on export earnings. And for some
exporters (and stockholders of exporting companies) the benefits are
potentially significant, and even greater than those available under
the ETI or the prior Foreign Sales Corporation (FSC) and Domestic
International Sales Corporation (DISC).
