The Swedish Inventors' Association (SUF), in conjunction with the Swedish American Chamber of Commerce-South Central U.S. Region, is bringing a delegation of Swedish inventors to New Orleans September 14-15. The purpose of the visit is to: (1) introduce  their products and technologies to the Louisiana and U.S. market; (2) to create joint ventures or other forms of partnerships; and (3) to create successful long-term business relationships. SUF collaborates with the Swedish American Chamber in order to transfer innovative technology from Sweden into the U.S.

About the Swedish Inventors' Association

Founded in 1886, the Swedish Inventors' Association (www.invent.se) is the world's oldest inventor association and Sweden's only national professional organization for inventors. SUF is an active and recognized partner in the field of development and innovation and an inventor's natural contact at the early stage of the chain of innovation. Today, there are close to 3,000 members, including individual members and companies. Members range from active professional inventors to persons interested in the field of innovation.

The Swedish delegates in the visit to New Orleans represent the following products and services:

Careful ZenAx Wireless Burglar Alarm - www.fishbird.se
Unlike standard alarms, which are easily activated by mistake or require windows to be closed at night, the Careful ZenAx system is always active and managed with a small wireless remote. It allows windows to be open while the user is in the triggered area and reminds the user if windows are left open when leaving the building. The alarm is easy to install --due to wireless technology used--and can be integrated with other systems.
Objective: Seeking manufacturers in alarm and/or hardware; also distributors.

Interactive Atom - www.brightsite.se
A teaching aide based on the Bohrs atom model, the interactive atom helps students to understand abstract concepts of atoms and ions. Initially developed for students with visual handicaps, the Interactive Atom also benefits students with normal eyesight by giving them a chance to build an atom or ion.
Objective: Seeking school boards, dealers, and organizations for visually impaired or special needs students.

Lifestone - www.lifestone.com, www.mydogforever.com
Invented by Katinka Bille Lindahl, Lifestone is a method for casting children's footprints or handprints into crystal or bronze. The technique can also be used for dogs' paw prints.
Objective: Seeking a licensee in USA able to both manufacture and market.

Plus Guard - www.plusgard.com
PlusGard is an additional advanced guardrail that provides fall prevention for the scaffold user throughout scaffold erection and dismantling.
Objective: Seeking a distributor and/or licensee.

The Proxy® method - www.virvelteknik.se
Proxy® uses pro-environmental purification techniques for different liquids. The technology works without any solvents added. The water is always re-circulating. Product examples include: Proxy® Greenkeeper for golf ponds; Proxy® AquaRecord for park water ponds; Proxy® Recycle for recirculation water systems like carwashes and laundries;, Proxy®PW to treat polluted waste water from industries; and Proxy Whipper to whip cream.
Objective: Seeking established golf course suppliers, domestic appliances, industrial waste and depositories, agricultural business and toilet suppliers.

Queen Foot Stool - www.maglo.se
Invented by Magnus Glovéus, the easy-to-use Queen Foot Stool improves circulation by getting the body moving with little effort and can be used while watching TV or sitting at the computer.
Objective: Seeking a distributor or manufacturer/licensee.

Swedish Health Care Concept - www.swedishhealth.se
Aimed to keep a company's employees healthy and reduce medical expenditures, the Swedish Health Care Concept is a system for minimizing health care problems by addressing them in the early stages. A health inventory is taken for each staff member and the data is used for an individual health program. Personnel are then referred to applicable training programs, stress management classes, etc., and progress is monitored. As a result, health issues are rapidly addressed, medical costs are reduced, and personnel are healthier.
Objective: Seeking personnel managers-decision makers, companies interested in reducing staff stress disorders, IT companies interested in developing the concept into a computer program, and health insurance companies.

X Tray
An extra tray/plate that can be attached to a vertical post and can be rotated around the post, X-Tray can be used in restaurants, on boats, in shops, etc. The product adds space and can expose brand names and can be manufactured in various materials (wood, plastic, aluminum, brass).
Objective: Seeking a licensee or purchaser of U.S. patent.
