Patrick B. Fazzone is a partner with
the law firm of Tighe Patton Armstrong Teasdale, PLLC, based in
Washington, D.C. The firm conducts a comprehensive national and
international practice. Mr. Fazzone specializes in providing
practical advice and solutions to companies involved in
international business. A 1981 graduate of the Duke University
School of Law, he was a Fulbright Scholar in international law in
Geneva, Switzerland and in Sydney Australia and formerly was an
associate at the Washington law firm of Hogan & Hartson and
partner of D.C.-based Collier Shannon Scott, LLC. In 1989, he
established that firm’s Asia-Pacific Office based in Sydney,
Australia. Since that time, he has advised a large number of U.S.
and overseas companies and other entities on international trade
issues and on a range of commercial matters. He has advised clients
in connection with a number of the most significant policy and
legislative developments affecting international trade and
investment and has successfully represented clients’ interests in
matters before various governments, including in the United States
and Australia. He also routinely advises and assists a range of
companies, from small and mid-sized to multinationals, on commercial
and other matters in a variety of industries including
manufacturing, oil and gas, and high technology.
Mr. Fazzone is the author of numerous
articles and other publications on topics in international trade. He
is Chairman and Founder of the International Trade Committee of the
American Chamber of Commerce in Australia. He has taught
international trade and business law at both the University of
Sydney Law School and the Duke University School of Law. He is a
regular speaker in the U.S., Australia and elsewhere on issues and
developments in international trade and investment, as well as on
opportunities for companies in the globalization of commerce.
